Magical Mystical Intuitive Moments

I have the privilege of hearing many extraordinary stories which people share in my Developing Intuition workshops, individual intuitive coaching sessions, and by email. As I come forward recounting psychic dreams, tales of telepathy, manifesting thoughts and prayers, and amazing animal stories, there seems great enthusiasm mixed with relief to be able to do the same. I often wonder why we tread lightly discussing these topics. Perhaps these experiences happen deliberately to make the infinite world easier to relate to and more accessible, user-friendly. At this point it is hard to believe all these out of ordinary accounts are random and coincidental. I rather consider the all knowing source willingly and eagerly participates with those of us intent on learning.

“Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.” Albert Einstein

I wonder what Einstein meant. Do you think God wants to remain anonymous? Somehow I think God wants us to discover the interconnection of divine in the mundane.  What better way than with personal experience.

Einstein is also quoted as saying “The finest emotion of which we are capable is the mystic emotion. Herein lays the germ of all art and all true science. To know that what is impenetrable for us really exists, and manifests itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, whose gross forms alone are intelligible to our poor faculties – this knowledge, this feeling … is the core of the true religious sentiment.”

Out of curiosity I looked up the definition of mysticism and found this; the pursuit of communion with, or conscious awareness of an ultimate reality through direct experience, intuition, instinct or insight. Mysticism usually centers on a practice or practices intended to nurture those experiences or awareness.

In my last post I proposed that sharing stories also nurtures awareness and opens the door inviting intuitive experiences to come through.  Here are some more magical, mystical, moments that seem to have come about as a result of simply wondering.

For many years I wondered what happened to the boy in elementary school that all the girls including me, had a crush on.  One of my friends told me I could search a people finder site on the internet. For a lark she asked his name and did the search. Shocked by what she found she told me his last residence was listed in Martha’s Vineyard. She had a home in Cape Cod at the time. “I wonder if my close friend who lives in the Vineyard knows him” she said. “As it happens I am going there next weekend. I’ll ask her.”… The following week I got a call. “This is incredible. The guy you went to school with has a moving company and just moved my friend into her new house. She knows him very well! I got his phone number for you.” Of course  I called and we had a pleasant conversation reminiscing about our old school days…

My daughter and son are both martial arts students and have made wonderful friends training with other children and adults. Initially my daughter was in the children’s class where she met a young man that she became close friends with, but sadly he stopped coming after he entered High School. One night on our way to the dojo my daughter said, “I wonder if Aidan will ever come back”. And for some reason I replied, “Just watch, tonight he’ll be there”. We arrived early and she went to change. I sat down and something made me turn towards the door just as Aidan walked in! …

A few years after completing my training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming I relocated to California. While studying I got to know many wonderful people but one woman in particular I gravitated to. This was before I spoke so candidly about being intuitive. She is very creative and a spiritual person too, and needless to say we shared a lot in common. We wrote for awhile but over time lost touch. Five or more years had passed.  This day as I was preparing to paint some chairs  many arts and crafts inspired memories with her returned.  “I wonder where Dan and Ditte are now.”  Later that evening I checked my phone machine. “Stephanie, this is Ditte. I have been thinking about you a lot lately and finally found your phone number which I misplaced. Call me back when you have a chance”… Amazing things happen when we stop and wonder.

“We need a renaissance of wonder. We need to renew in our hearts and in our souls the deathless dream, the eternal poetry, the perennial sense that life is miracle and magic.”   E. Merrill Root

Trying to convince myself that everyone has an ‘old flame’, the ‘one that got away’, I still, after 35 yrs couldn’t shake the Love. One afternoon I felt that I was being told to call her, that something terrible had happened. Arguing, I finally called, just a fax number. Well, I tried… A minute later she called…she had been holding her fathers hand for 2 days while he died. Both had a good cry. 3 days later, I felt as if I had a ‘second skin’ on..it was him. We laughed at how he played his part so well, telling me every Christmas for years he would tell her I called, and never relaying the message. He had come to me because she was so distraught, guess he could feel the Love and knew I could help.

Much, much more to it, but as I am still married for last 30, not ready to put my name with the story! Love what You are doin here Steph!
