Intuitive Guidance about Career Options and Work

One of the participants in a recent workshop I offered on the power of thought, prayer, and manifesting, was a woman I first met last spring at a Holistic Health and Healer’s fair.  She shared an inspirational story with the group. The intuitive reading she had with me months ago helped her forge forward and explore a new line of work, and shortly after a wonderful unexpected job presented itself.

I am often asked to channel about inner strengths and talents, professional development, and career paths. I hope by sharing some amazing stories, you will feel more encouraged following your own intuitive inclinations. If you decide to work with a job placement agency, find someone who utilizes creative resourcefulness and logic to help you. Sometimes we minimize what comes naturally, and fail to recognize that certain interests we have, may be aspects and indicators of real employment potentials.

I have two dear friends for example, who have a phenomenal understanding of spatial relationships, and decor. They could each have flourishing businesses as interior design consultants, though both are currently employed in other fields. But if circumstances changed forcing them to job search, this is where I’d recommend they start anew.

Tina and her husband came to see me. She asked for a read on her work. I closed my eyes and heard, “Tina is expressive with written word. Tina is writing a children’s book. There is someone she knows personally who wants to illustrate this book. Is it your husband”? I asked opening my eyes. “You are right, I have just written a story for children” she said, but it is my father in law I think you are referring to. He is an artist, and is interested in doing the drawings, but usually a publisher finds their own illustrators”. “For some reason, I would still encourage you to submit your manuscript with his pictures. I have a really promising feeling about this collaborative work being published” I don’t know the outcome of this, but do know Tina’s passion to be an author was confirmed …

I was doing a radio show interview and Mary phoned in with a question. “Do you have any advice about my career path”? “The first thing I am experiencing in my body is a surge of energy in my arms and a warming of my hands. Normally my hands are always cold! I think these sensations are coming from you, which leads me to believe that you have healing hands. I’d recommend studying a form of therapeutic massage, chiropractics, or a form of touch healing. Are you interested in any of the areas I mentioned”?  “Yes, thank you so much” she said. “I am currently studying Reiki and your words are very affirming”. Reiki healing was developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. It uses a technique commonly called palm healing as a form of complementary and alternative medicine. Wikipedia

I recently found a beautiful hand painted card that I saved from a woman I worked with in 1991. I will end with her tale. I intuitively sensed that Bea was feeling divided by two interests, her love of painting and a desire to be a Spiritual Coach. “Combine these interests” I suggested. “Why not offer consultations that include painting personalized mandalas”? Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means “circle”. In both Hindu and Buddhist religious traditions their sacred art often takes a mandala form. Wikipedia

Bea embraced this idea. A few months later she sent me my own mandala, and a hand painted thank you card. She wrote me that her work received great reviews at a convention she attended at the Kentucky Center for the Arts.
